"Truly I tell you, whatever you did not do for one of the least of these, you did not do for me" - Matthew 25:45

"How do I fulfil the Great Commission as a working professional?"

We acknowledge the numerous difficulties that Christian professionals face such as the relentless time pressure and work stress. From personal experience, we find that it is sometimes difficult to find meaning in work, and there seems to exist a "sacred-secular divide", with church being compartmentalised to a Sunday service.

At Christian Impact Network, we hope to foster a community of Christian professionals who want to use their skills to glorify God and fulfil the Great Commission. We do this through providing professionals with skills-based volunteering opportunities. For example, a Christian in the finance industry will be able to use his/her finance skill-set to practically help a Christian church/charity in their effort to extend God's Kingdom. We also hope to create city based communities of likeminded professionals who support each other in their journey towards Christlikeness.

Please check out the various opportunities to get involved. From 2018-2019, we will be focusing exclusively on helping Christian churches and charities that help the homeless and marginalized in society.

Biblical Motivation

We do it unto God

  • Mathew 25:34-40 "Then the King will say to those on his right... I was stranger and you welcomed me..." but the righteous will answer him, saying 'Lord, when did we see.. And the King will answer them, ‘Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me.

  • Matthew 5:16- "In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven."

It is an opportunity to put love into action

  • Isaiah 58:7,10 - “Is it not to share your bread with the hungry and bring the homeless poor into your house; when you see the naked, to cover him, and not to hide yourself from your own flesh? If you pour yourself out for the hungry and satisfy the desire of the afflicted, then shall your light rise in the darkness and your gloom be as the noonday.

  • James 2:14-17- “What good is it, my brothers, if someone says he has faith but does not have works? Can that faith save him? If a brother or sister is poorly clothed and lacking in daily food, and one of you says to them, “Go in peace, be warmed and filled,” without giving them the things needed for the body, what good is that? So also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead.”

It is an act of obedience to God’s command to care for the less fortunate

  • Hebrews 13:16- “Do not neglect to do good and to share what you have, for such sacrifices are pleasing to God.”

  • Deu 15:11 “Therefore I command you, ‘You shall open wide your hand to your brother, to the needy and to the poor, in your land.’

  • James 1:27 - “Religion that is pure and undefiled before God, the Father, is this: to visit orphans and widows in their affliction, and to keep oneself unstained from the world.”

  • 1 Timothy 6:17-19 - “As for the rich in this present age, charge them not to be haughty, nor to set their hopes on the uncertainty of riches, but on God, who richly provides us with everything to enjoy. They are to do good, to be rich in good works, to be generous and ready to share, thus storing up treasure for themselves as a good foundation for the future, so that they may take hold of that which is truly life.”

  • 1 John 3:17 - “But if anyone has the world's goods and sees his brother in need, yet closes his heart against him, how does God's love abide in him?”

Give and it will be given. Our heavenly father rewards

  • Proverbs 22:9 - “Whoever has a bountiful eye will be blessed, for he shares his bread with the poor.”

  • Matthew 6:33 - "But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well."

  • Luke 6:38 - "Give, and it will be given to you. Good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over, will be put into your lap. For with the measure you use it will be measured back to you.”

It is a unique opportunity to bridge the “sacred-secular” divide

  • Colossians 3:23-24: "Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving."
